Oh weekend, I’ve been waiting for you.
There’s a special place in my heart for weekends. Since I’ve been working retail for the past five years, I really value the weekends that I don’t have to work. Instead of spending a lazy day inside, I always opt to do something outside of the home– whether it’s grabbing a bite to eat, browsing around at the mall, or exploring parts of the city I have yet to discover.
On this particular Saturday, my boyfriend and I took advantage of the free admission to the Philbrook Museum of Art. The last time I went was during the evening, so I was looking forward to seeing how the whole space looked during the day. Fun fact: I love museums and I could easily spend an entire day in one. Although I’m not the best at interpreting art, I have a great appreciation for it.
I was especially excited to see this yarn installation by an artist who goes by the name HOTTEA. Let me tell you, I’ve never been so fascinated by yarn in my entire life until I saw this. Each strand of yarn was tied to a net that was suspended from the ceiling. It’s amazing how each piece was cut to create such a precise and clean edge. It was really neat to view the installation from different ends of the room and there were these huge bean bags for people to lay on so that you could view it by lying directly beneath it.
When you find a blank wall (and nobody’s around), you need to seize the moment and take an outfit picture, right? 😉 This was my rainy day outfit.

And last, but not least, one of my favorite views in Tulsa. It’s amazing how beautiful the Philbrook can be on a rainy day.
How do you spend your weekends?
Let me know in the comments!
As always, thanks for stopping by! #MaskMonday will return next week. I didn’t have a mask review prepared this week, so I thought I’d switch it up and do a fashion post. Hope you enjoyed it!
Have a wonderful Monday!
