Last Minute Gift Ideas

December 24, 2015

Let’s be real.  There are two kinds of people in the world– the ones who start their holiday shopping a month before Christmas and the ones who start a week before (or even a day before!).  I know I’m totally late on doing a Holiday Gift Guide, but I’m sure this post will be helpful to those who have literally waited until the very last minute to shop, or perhaps you’re looking for a something extra to complete a gift.  Either way, most of these gifts only require a quick trip to Target, the mall (if you feel like braving the crowds), or a few simple clicks on the net.  I’ll try to keep this post short, sweet, and to the point so that you’ll have plenty to time to finish your shopping. 🙂

If you have the time and patience to go to the mall, definitely hit up Lush for gift sets!  Lush has a variety of gift sets that range from $14.95 to $249.95 and best of all, they’re already wrapped!  L’Occitane and Sephora are also great places if you’re in search of the perfect gift set.  The Sephora Favorites boxes are some of my favorites because you can gift the box as it is, or you can split the box and use the mini products as stocking stuffers.  I bought the Sephora Favorites: Skin Wonderland set and split the contents amongst my mom, sister, and myself (treat yoself!).  I found it to be the perfect thing add to their main gifts!

If you’re like me and you only have the courage to brave the crowds at your local Target or grocery store, don’t fret because you can still put together a fantastic gift basket! Gift baskets are one of my favorite presents to give because you can customize it to your recipient’s interests.  You can easily go in any direction.  Make a fun movie night basket with a $5 movie from Target, popcorn, and candy.  A spa night basket would be really fun with bath salts or oils, foot scrubs, nail polish, and cute slippers!

Subscriptions are an excellent gift, because it’s the gift that keeps on giving! Magazine subscriptions and subscription boxes are also thoughtful gifts if you know your recipient has a specific interest.  Popular beauty boxes, like Birchbox and Ipsy, are really well-loved amongst beauty junkies.  If you have a foodie in your life, try Naturebox or Blue Apron!  These are super easy to buy, because you can send these gifts as e-giftcards

If you’re like me and you like to keep your gifts super simple, you really can’t go wrong with giving gift cards or straight up cash.  Sure, some people might feel like this is a really thoughtless gift, but I feel like it’s one of the best gifts you can give someone because that person can use the money/gift card however they want to, whenever they want to!  I personally love receiving gift cards, especially to places that I frequent, like Target or the grocery store.  Definitely consider gift cards, especially if you’re shopping for someone who’s difficult to please.  The great thing is that you can make a quick trip to Target or buy them online!

I hope this post helped some of you on this very last day to shop! Have a wonderful and safe holiday 🙂

xo,
Amy

  1. Gift cards are always the way to go if I’m stumped! I never thought about giving subscriptions but you’re right, they would make great gifts – the gift that gives all through the year! 🙂
    Merry Christmas to you!
