Naturebox Unboxing

Naturebox Unboxing

I am a snacker by nature.  Naturebox always saves me from my mid-day hunger pains and keeps me from getting hangry.

Naturebox is a subscription box of snacks made from wholesome ingredients.  Their website contains a wide range of snacks (i.e., dried fruit, fruit snacks, nuts, granola, trail mix, baked goods, chips, pretzels, popcorn, beef jerky) that you probably won’t find in your local grocery store.  You can choose to get 3 snacks for $13.95 ($4.65/bag) or 5 snacks for $19.95 ($3.99/bag).  Naturebox also gives you the freedom to alter your delivery frequency.  You can get your box monthly, bi-weekly, weekly, or choose whatever date you want.  Haven’t finished your snacks and you’re not ready for another box? That’s perfectly OK, because you can simply choose the option to skip a month online!

Here are the snacks I received this month!

I’m a huge fan of spicy foods, so I thought I thought I’d give this one a try. I really enjoyed the sweet and spicy flavors that sriracha is known for.  It’s not too spicy, but it has a more-than-mild kick to it. I’m not sure if my bag in particular just ended up being mostly Peruvian corn, but I wish there were more cashews in this mix.  Overall, this is a great snack that I highly recommend if you like spice!

This is my favorite snack from this month’s box.  These are pretzel balls covered with macadamia nuts and honey.  If you like sweet and savory snacks, then this would be right up your alley.  One thing that I really appreciate about Naturebox is that all of their snacks are fresh when they arrive at your doorstep, so each pretzel bit is as crunchy as the first.  This is another snack that I highly recommend!

Fruit chews are one of my favorite snacks! These are pretty good, but I don’t think I’ll be reordering these next month. The texture is on the drier side, but the flavor is still very good.  I had the Strawberry Lemonade Fruit Stars last month and those had a slight sticky feeling to it, which I definitely prefer.  Not bad, but not my favorite.

I had high hopes for this popcorn snack, but my expectations fell short.  Like the fruit stars, these are good, but I’ve had better jalapeño white cheddar popcorn (try Buc-ee’s Cheddar Jalapeño Popcorn in Houston if you haven’t before!).  The jalapeño flavor was extremely nice and tasted like actual fresh jalapeños; however, I felt like the white cheddar seasoning was somewhat lacking.

These were my least favorite from the box, but I guess I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m not a big kernel fan when it comes to snacks.  These are really abundant in flavoring, which I appreciate, but I didn’t find the combination of kernels and cinnamon-sugar satisfying my sweet and savory palette.  The kernel flavor was more overpowering than anything else.

Despite my snack box being less than stellar this month, I do feel like Naturebox is worth the money, because you get to try out unique snacks that you can’t find anywhere else!  The quality of the snacks is really awesome and the portion sizes are perfect.  These are perfect for stuffing in your purse or backpack when you’re on the go.  I feel like these types of unique snacks are about the same price (if not, more expensive) at places like Target, Sprouts, and Whole Foods.

I hope you guys found this review helpful! I will tell you that my Naturebox snack from last month were much better! I got the Strawberry Lemonade Fruit Stars, Chocolate Banana Chips, Sriracha Pop Pops, Sriracha Roasted Cashews, and Coffee Kettle Corn.  I highly recommend all of those, as well as the Dark Cocoa Nom Noms (I received those in my free sample box).

Have a great Wednesday!
