AUGUST BEAUTY BUYS

AUGUST BEAUTY BUYS

You know how people tend to over-shop when they’re at Target? Well, that’s what ULTA is to me.  However, today was an exception because I walked out with just what I needed and nothing more.

Dry shampoo was a must-buy, so I picked up the Psssst! brand.  I’ve used this once a few years back, but I don’t remember having any negative feelings towards it, so I’m giving it a go once again.

I’ve been without an eye cream for almost the entire summer and I have definitely noticed a difference in the texture of the skin around my eyes and how my makeup looks in that area, so I decided to try out the Nip+Fab Bee Sting Eye eye cream.  The bee venom is supposed to help with plumpness and firming, which I think I’m definitely in need of!  Plus, this was 50% off!

I got the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponges because I’ve heard it’s pretty comparable to the original Beauty Blender, which is a product that I’ve been wanting to try.  I’m probably not going to get the Beauty Blender anytime soon since I picked up a double pack of these babies, but I’m nonetheless excited to try them! $11 for these two is a pretty sweet deal!

I picked up the last two products with my upcoming trip to Seattle in mind.  I honestly don’t need another eyeshadow palette, BUT I realized that I don’t have a travel-size, natural-toned eyeshadow palette.  My go-to palette is the Lorac Pro Palette, but that isn’t exactly compact and I certainly don’t need all of those colors during my trip.  I have a few smaller Lorac palettes from the holiday season, but most of the colors are too shimmery for everyday looks.  The Urban Decay Naked Basics is exactly what I needed.  I love that it’s all matte, compact (it’s smaller than my iPhone 6!), and great for an everyday look or a smokey eye!  The palette comes with a matte black, so it’s great for lining your eyes.  Also, mixing the dark brown with a little bit of the black could substitute for my eyebrows, too!  Seriously, what a great investment of $29 🙂

And last but not least, I purchased my first ever Soap & Glory product!  I am so excited that ULTA carries S&G; however, my local ULTA doesn’t have the full-range of products like the website does.  They only had a few travel-size products at the checkout, so I got Hand Food!  Airplanes and travel, in general, tend to dry my skin out, so this is the perfect little thing to pop in my bag!  Does anyone know when the line will hit the stores?  There are so many things that I want to try from them!

Have you guys tried any of these products before? What were your thoughts? Let me know what other products I should try! 🙂

xo,
amy
